The Mobile Navigator from NAVIGON is now available for North American drivers on the iPhone. The NAVIGON app works on both the iPhone 3G and 3GS, and is a single purchase turn-by-turn GPS solution. The app weighs in at nearly 1.3 GB, and is available for .99 until August 15th, after which it will sell for .99. This is a first-look of the app with a few days of usage. I’ll follow up with a review after I’ve used it for a week or two. Overall, the app works well and runs fast. The simulated 3D world is nice and the voice directions are loud and clear. On the downside, the app appears to have no network connectivity, so that means no traffic data, and no live address look-up.
